The two main processes are "Power whitening" and "Home whitening".

Power whitening is achieved using the top brand BriteSmile system and

home whitening uses the top brand Opalescence system

Power whitening is carried out in the surgery. Gums and exposed dentine

in areas of recession are protected with a plastic gel coating first and then

the whitening agent is applied to the teeth and activated with LED cool lights. Whitening is achieved within about ninety minutes.There are no lasers,

or heat, or noxious chemicals involved.

Home whitening is achieved through the construction of custom trays

which hold weaker whitening gel against the teeth for hours at a time.

Whitening is achieved over about a few months.
