BITE PROBLEMS

 

The teeth and bone structure form the underpinnings for the mouth and its surrounding tissue. When this framework isn’t completely aligned, a malocclusion or a bad bite results.
A bad bite can be because of inheritance or may be a consequence of a destructive personal habit like nail biting, thumb sucking or lip biting.
Failure to replace missing teeth can cause the bite and the face to “collapse”, resulting in an aged and unattractive appearance.
Bruxism or grinding of teeth is also a culprit.
Whatever the cause, our practice offers a variety of ways to treat improperly aligned bites---many of which are imperceptible to others

 

OVERBITE:  A DETRIMENT TO FACIAL ESTHETICS
In overbite, there is almost complete overlapping of the upper front teeth over the lower front teeth.
